July 18th 6-9 pmFood and cocktails will be available from 6-8:30. There will be no entry before 5:45 pm or after 8 pm. If you're using GPS, use 576 Euclid Avenue to take you to the parking area for the Akron Zoo. If you're using GPS, use 576 Euclid Avenue to take you to the parking area for the Akron Zoo.

If you show up and have not prepurchased a ticket, you will be turned away. We have compiled a guest list in case you forget or can’t find your ticket. If you have purchased a ticket and are refused entrance, please ask to speak with a committee member. There will be no sales at the door.

This is a rain or shine event, with room in the pavilion for all. However, there is no cover from the parking lot to ticket entry and no cover from ticket entry to the pavilion. Each walk may consist of a few minutes exposed to the elements so please come prepared.

Music and cocktails and snacks and critters. It’s gonna be a good time. Bring your smiles and your stories. We’re looking forward to seeing you all!

WHEN:

July 19th 5-11 pmDrinks and such, most say their favorite part, may be from 5 - 6 pm when we serve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. But we’re gonna add a little icing to that cake because Jane Ashley will perform a few songs for us about 6 pm. A friendly reminder that this is a prepaid event, and there will be no sales at the door. The dress code is "Business Casual," but a smile (and maybe some rhythm) is a must.

Details, details:  free parking is available on the surface lot directly across from the intersection of S Summit St and E Mill St. Look for signs reading "University of Akron Lot 70 South".  If you're using GPS (and who isn't?), enter 130 E Mill St for directions to the entrance.  The banquet facility will be on the left upon entering the lot.

The herding cats part: immediately after Jane’s performance we'll organize the Class of '75 photograph. Producing a huge photo shoot such as this can lead to PTSD, so please do your best to be early and cooperate so we can get through it and enjoy the buffet.

The entire event team is excited to see you. So prepare yourself to reminisce and enjoy the event.
